Philip Thibodeau is an Associate Professor in the Department of Classics at Brooklyn College. He is the author of Playing the Farmer: Representations of Rural Life in Vergil’s Georgics, and numerous articles on ancient science and technology, including, most recently, “Anaximander’s Model and the Measures of the Sun and Moon” (Journal of Hellenic Studies). He lives in North Haven, Connecticut.
